Since March 17, we have been in lockdown. We stay at home and only go out when necessary. We take protective measures and respect the government directives. Here in North Cameroon we are lucky to continue to have Eucharistic celebrations. In this way we are in communion and prayer with those who can't go to mass. At the beginning of February this year, I was accepted to study at Holy Trinity Teachers’ College as a primary school teacher. I left for my studies in mid-February. After 4 weeks of formal classes, we received a notice announcing a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the country. On the 22nd of March, the Prime Minister announced a state of emergency for two weeks throughout the country. We were sent home the following day. It is with joy that I share with you what the postulant community, here in Antsirabe, is living during lockdown. Lockdown started on March 22, 2020, when our President of the Republic announced that there were people who were carriers of covid-19. Like everyone else in the world, we are not allowed to attend mass. So together, in our chapel, we celebrate Sunday prayer every Sunday.
