Villa des Otages, 8 PM! A whistle is heard coming from next door signaling the daily concert!  Individuals, from those who have survived Covid-19, take up their instruments and go outside…Many people are at their windows, clapping and playing percussion.  A good part of the neighbourhood participates in the concert.   A moving crescendo was heard on the evening when the majority of the sisters and novices who had been sick came out to cheer, “We are healed!”

Accompanied every evening by the bells of the church, these are memorable moments of communion with people that were once strangers.  Moments when hope and the determination to overcome are palpable.

After five minutes there is the last whistle (we also have a whistle, and we reply!) and the wish “until tomorrow!” is sent out.
