Springtime has arrived, full of sunshine…

everyone confined to their own home,

we are all living the same reality on the level of Humanity!

I am borrowing this prose from an unknown author.

It was in the month of March 2020!

The streets were empty, stores were closed and no one could go out anymore.
But spring didn’t know, and the flowers started to blossom, the sun shone, the birds sang, the swallows were soon to arrive, the sky was blue, and morning came early.

It was in the month of March 2020 …

The children had to study on-line and find things to do at home, people couldn’t go shopping or go to the hairdresser. Soon the hospitals will be full and people will continue to fall sick.

But spring didn’t know, it is time to go out into the garden, the grass is greener.

It was in the month of March 2020 …

The people were locked down to protect their grand-parents, family and children. No more get-togethers or family celebrations. Fear has become real and the days all look the same.

But spring didn’t know, the apple and cherry trees have blossomed, their leaves have come out. People read again, families play together, learn a language, sing on their balconies and invite neighbours to join in, they learn new ways of communicating, live solidarity and focus on other values. People have realized the importance of health and that there is suffering in a world where everything has stopped, where the economy has fallen apart.

But spring didn’t know, fruits have replaced the flowers, the birds have made their nests, the swallows have arrived.

And the day of liberation came, the television is telling people that the virus has lost the fight, the people come out into the streets, singing, crying, and hugging their neighbours without masks or gloves.

And so it is that summer has arrived, because spring didn’t know. And it continued on in spite of everything, in spite of the virus, in spite of fear and death. Because spring didn’t know, it taught people the power of life.

Everything will work out, stay home, protect yourself,
and you will enjoy life. Author unknown
